Defunding Planned Parenthood

On February 21, 2016, Governor John Kasich signed a bill which would basically defund Planned Parenthood in Ohio.  In doing so, the Governor had stated, ““You don’t have to be captive to delivering women’s health through a women’s health organization that has discredited itself.”

However, Judge Michael R. Barrett of U. S. District Court in Cincinnati issued a temporary restraining order on May 23, 2016, blocking the bill from going into effect.

We are still waiting on the outcome of this case and find it a terrible shame that activist judges are circumventing the constitutionally-based will of the people of Ohio.
