Connecting Pastors and Legislators

 In News

Pastors from around the state came to Columbus for another meeting with legislators on Wednesday, May 17. Representative Christina Hagan (R-50) and Representative Ron Hood (R-73) gave generously of their time giving insight into the workings of the state legislature, their goals and objectives and their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. After the group meeting, the attendees visited their legislators before returning home for mid-week services.

Later in the day Pastor Paul Norton from Faith Baptist Church in Beavercreek opened the house session with prayer. His invitation had been extended by Representative Rick Perales (R-73). Pastor Norton had been able to begin a relationship with his legislators through a previous Patriot Pastors’ Day.

Earlier this month, Pastor Ryan Brown from Calvary Baptist Church in Portsmouth had extended an invitation for Awake America Ohio to present their ministry at a Tri-State Baptist Fellowship. The building of Calvary Baptist Church was built over 150 years ago, and was an appropriate setting as pastors were encouraged to return to the foundations of Scripture which made our nation and our state strong.
